while it's not "emergency dock" friendly, there is a way to make sure this doesn't happen. before you dock, minimize everything that might overlap with your station services tab such as overview, selected item, drones etc. and before you undock, ...

It doesn't occur all the time. Just most of the time. I very much doubt that clearing the cache will do anything, tbh. I don't know about a fresh install but yes, that would be an absolute final resort.

as for the log file, is there any way you can filter out all the useless junk and post the important things? my friend ran 6 clients to get it to crash and in that short period of time racked up about 145,000 log ID's
